SS Lazio have confirmed the loan signing of Luca Pellegrini from Juventus, with Maurizio Sarri’s side having an option to buy the full-back.
Pellegrini spent the first half of the season on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt, but returned to Juve early having made just 14 appearances in all competitions for the Bundesliga club.
Now the 23-year-old is on his way out on loan again, this time to Lazio, who will have the option to sign the player permanently for €15m.
A statement on Juventus’ official website regarding the signing reads: “Juventus Football Club S.p.A. announces that an agreement has been reached with S.S. Lazio S.p.A. for the temporary disposal, until 30 June 2023, of the registration rights of the player Luca Pellegrini.
“The agreement envisages the right for Lazio to definitively acquire the player’s registration rights; the agreed consideration for the definitive disposal is €15m, payable in five years.”
