Stassi Schroeder‘s husband, Beau Clark, shared a message on his Instagram Story over the weekend that seemed to be aimed at his former Vanderpump Rules castmates, Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright.
Nearly a year after Jax and Brittany infamously pulled out of Stassi and Beau’s wedding in Italy at the last minute, claiming they had an issue with son Cruz’s passport, Beau took to his social media account, where he showed off the “Saturday view” from his $1.7 million Hollywood Hills home and gave a nod to how easy it is to obtain a passport for a child in the United States.
“The last of Hartford’s documents for the Italian government are finished and sent in. So hopefully we’ll get her citizenship papers and passport in a couple months. But let’s be real. Romans take three hour lunch breaks,” Beau began, as seen in a screenshot shared by Bravo and Cocktails on Instagram. “So we might see it next year!”
Beau then pointed out that getting a passport in the U.S. is far easier, likely in a nod to Jax and Brittany’s claims that they were unable to attend their May 2022 wedding in Rome because Cruz’s passport was delayed.
“It’s not like in the US where getting a kids passport only takes a month or two,” he added.
As Pump Rules fans will recall, Stassi opened up about Jax and Brittany’s last-minute decision against attending her wedding on The Good, the Bad, and the Baby podcast without naming names.
“The day, not 24 hours before, the day we’re leaving for our flight to go to Rome, two hours before we leave the house, I’m sitting on the couch. Our suitcases are by the front door, everything’s done… I get a text from the girl part of this relationship saying, ‘We’re not coming,’ with many, many reasons as to why they’re not coming,” she shared. “Two hours before I‘m about to go to the airport to get married I get a text from friends that are supposed to be our close friends that they’re not going to make it. It was so mind-blowingly insane.”
“I can’t believe that I took two spots. I can’t believe I thought we were close. I feel stupid that I thought we were better friends than that,” she added.
Weeks later, Brittany explained why she and Jax ditched Stassi and Beau’s wedding while appearing on Scheana Shay‘s podcast, Scheananigans, in July of last year.
“I should have planned better on like Cruz’s passport and stuff, but everything was so backed up. It was poor planning on my part, but it was so hard to get that passport,” Brittany insisted.
Then, in July, Jax took to his Instagram Story, where he confirmed he’d finally received Cruz’s passport after supposedly having it expedited for Stassi and Beau’s wedding months prior.
Vanderpump Rules season 10 premieres Wednesday, February 8, at 9/8c on Bravo.
